Hustler had
another brilliant idea. Downhome Country Music Magazine was born
late one night amid the sweet warm smell of dark, moist Christmas
fruit-cake and the soft sleeping sighs of her children Tammy and
Lorena.
The young, single mother stifled a yawn and closed
the bedroom door after checking on her sleeping babies. She remembered
the precious trips 'downhome' to Grandma's home-made buns and
fresh churned butter. At that exact moment an international
magazine had drawn its first breath
